π Event Details
Oakland Public Library's ASL Story Time brings Deaf storytellers and children's authors together for a bilingual reading experience designed for kids ages 2-8 and their caregivers. Each session features two picture books performed in ASL with English voice interpretation, followed by a craft activity and free play in a sensory-friendly space. The program nurtures early literacy in both ASL and English, gives Deaf children visible role models, and creates a welcoming space for hearing families exploring sign language. No registration required β just drop in at the main branch children's room.
